In June of 2019, members of the Oracle Analytics community connected at the Oracle Analytics Summit at Skywalker Ranch in Northern California to hear Oracle Senior Vice President T.K. Anand share his vision and describe a new era for Oracle Analytics based on transparency, trust, and execution.
It was a great moment in time, and we had hoped to recreate it in 2020 at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay but unfortunately we couldn’t, so we moved the Oracle Analytics Summit online. Once again we saw the Analytics community coming together – over 5000 of you – to share stories of execution, best practices, and success using data and analytics to help manage change. You can still see all that content in the Oracle Analytics Community hub, and you can see how all this adds up to value in the Oracle Analytics Value Realization report now available on the Oracle Analytics site.
In that year between these events, we kept our promise of execution, delivering two new solutions, Oracle Fusion ERP Analytics and Oracle Fusion HCM Analytics, as well as regular updates to Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Analytics Server. More details on what we have released are available on our What's new page
All this work by the community and the Oracle Analytics team has been publicly recognized over the last 3 months in a series of awards and analyst coverage acknowledging product innovation, performance, and effectiveness. The list includes:
The annual Ventana Research Digital Innovation Awards which recognizes advances in the productivity and potential of business applications, and technology that contributes to organizations’ efficiency, productivity, and performance. Oracle Day by Day received an award in the analytics category, which recognizes the technology vendor with the best innovation in any use or application of analytics across business and/or IT. Powered by Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Day by Day is the first enterprise analytic application that delivers personalized analytics based on users’ interests and daily interactions.
The SelectHub Awards recognize top product teams in the industry, with a focus on the people behind the software. From over 250 vendors considered, the Oracle Analytics product team was ranked one of the top 10 business intelligence leaders in the industry. Additionally, Oracle Analytics received best-in-class rankings in categories that included: Augmented Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Data Visualization, Data Querying, Mobile Business Intelligence, and Security.
The IDC MarketScape: APEJ Cloud Data Analytics Platform 2020 Vendor Assessment examined the top data analytics platform providers that provide services for public cloud, operate in multiple locations of Asia/Pacific, and hold the leading market shares in the region for the past two years. IDC recognized Oracle as a leader because of its cloud data analytics platform, stating that it is “highly accelerated and trusted for customers speeding up their transformation to the cloud.” The report also highlighted Oracle Analytics’ strengths, including trusted data, accelerated data, integrated data, simplified data, operationalized data, leverage of machine learning, cloud platform, and channel and community.
Constellation Research recently published, “Oracle Analytics: One Platform for Cloud, SaaS, and On-Premises Demands” that recognized the superior capabilities of Oracle Analytics to help organizations meet their deployment and cloud application needs. The report details the many strengths of Oracle Analytics, including comprehensive cloud functionality, application-specific content, and data warehouse services, customer-extensibility, pre-built data models that support cross-organizational analysis, state-of-the-art augmented analytics capabilities and aggressive pricing.
Doug Henschen, Constellation Research Vice President, and Principal Analyst writes in the report that "Any customer that relies on Oracle applications and/or Oracle database and data management capabilities should naturally consider Oracle Analytics. The core appeals include OAC's comprehensive, services-based BI and analytics functionality, Fusion Analytics integrations with Oracle applications, extensive augmented analytics capabilities, and aggressive pricing. Oracle Analytics Server provides an option for organizations that are not ready to move entirely (or even partially) to public clouds."
These recent awards add to industry recognition that’s been growing over the last 2 years:
Joey Fitts, vice president of Oracle Analytics Product Strategy, nicely summed up the team’s reaction: “We are honored that top analyst firms are recognizing the value that our customers and partners are getting from Oracle Analytics. These acknowledgments validate our vision to empower our community and drive business growth through augmented analytics that help organizations around the world move beyond insights, to action.”
