Better Builds

Developers should never build and unbreakable builds. Have these two been talking?
While I haven't been exposed to many different SCM's, I'm sure the one you choose has an interesting impact on the way you organize builds.

Comments:

[Trackback] Vincent is writing about unbreakable continuous builds . I'm not sure what is the rationale behind that even idea is really nice. Usually, when continuous build fail it mean that committers either didn't get recent updates before committing and/or did...

The problem is that Vincent has never been working with large codebase for a long time (I mean years), thus he has a limited vision of large scale software development..which is definitely not spending your time sync'ed to head on all your modules you depend on and you're not working on. Looks like a TestNG vs JUnit aka Cedric vs Vincent at JavaPolis. ;)
