Beautiful day in beautiful Paris

All right then, I'm back from what I declared the most beautiful city for a few days to thinking how lucky I am to live in Paris. Even better is having to meet customers in the heart of city which let's you feel like a tourist (in a good sense) for a little while...

PARIS IS UNUSUALLY NICE RIGHT NOW! I AM A CHICAGO TRANSPLANT THAT MOVE HERE IN SEPT'06. I AM ON MY BALCONY IN THE 15TH, WONDERING WHAT I WAS DOING IN CHICAGO IN THE 1ST PLACE? ARE YOU IN PARIS OFTEN?

I was there between February till beginning of March; the weather was cold. I had only 3 days to explore Paris. Went up the Eiffel Tower for scenic view and coffee, did shopping at Les Hallés, visited Disneyland Paris, and had most expensive meal in life at Fauchon, Medelaine. Speaking French is a bonus but not necessity, most commoners dig English, if you need directions to go somewhere... Finding 'spexual package' in Paris would be difficult though. Social escorts did not respond to my English requests; Turkish bath houses were hard to find and eventually when one finds adult toy stores... one gets too embarrased to speak French. So, how do you find life standard of living in Paris? Expensive? Acceptable?

I hated Paris the very first time I passed through (back in 1999). I gave it a second chance though, and it became one of my favorite cities in Europe. It's an amazing city with so many interesting corners to explore. :-)
