Although I like @PrivateOwned because its use is very clear and simple, this could be done using "cascade = CascadeType.REMOVE" on @OneToMany annotations.

Pedja, the CascadeType.REMOVE on @OneToMany was my first idea, in fact I will research if it really should be work on jpa 1.0 specification, but it does not work for me.
