Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) in Thailand has maintained an active membership in Oracle Academy for several years. The Department of Computer Science at SWU plays a pivotal role, focusing on computer science, software development, and programming classes. Over the past three years, it has diligently incorporated Oracle Academy curricula. Faculty members have leveraged complimentary Oracle Academy courses and materials to instruct courses like Java Foundations and Database Foundations, particularly catering to students majoring in computer science and data engineering.

During the recent academic year of 2023, numerous students from SWU’s Department of Computer Science accomplished success by passing the Oracle Academy exams. You can access this link for additional details regarding the recognition of course completion, which is granted to students who seize the opportunity to participate in the final exams of these courses and attain the Oracle Academy Course Completion Certificate in Java Foundations and Database Foundations.

Using a blended learning approach, our courses integrate Oracle Academy curricula with vital technology skills that are universally in demand across careers. These courses are synchronized with hands-on practice in computer science, provided by the Department of Computer Science.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Ruangsak Trakunphutthirak, Head of the Computer Science Program at SWU's Department of Computer Science. He has organized classes and guided students in exploring and completing Oracle Academy course exams. Students showed remarkable engagement and excelled in completing Oracle Academy Foundations courses in Java and Database, accompanied by positive feedback.

The Department plans to continue using Oracle Academy curricula and resources in teaching and learning. These courses align with Oracle Professional Certifications from Oracle University. Furthermore, the Department intends to collaborate with Oracle Academy Thailand to hold Oracle Certification Exams annually. This effort aims to recognize students who earn these valuable certifications, benefiting their applications for internships, cooperative programs, initial jobs post-graduation, and future careers.

Congratulations to all students and their instructors at SWU. Oracle Academy remains dedicated to supporting educators in integrating technology education curriculum—spanning Java, database, cloud computing, and more—into academic courses that fulfill  the needs of both teachers and learners.
