Oracle Academy recently hosted an Oracle Academy + Oracle APEX Knowledge Builder event at Oracle’s Madrid hub on November 21, 2023. The event was a great success in promoting innovation and collaboration within the academic community and was run by the Oracle Academy Program Manager in Spain, Maria Carrasco. She said, “In my role as the manager of the Oracle Academy program for Spain, I was pleased to host this successful first gathering for faculty. The event spoke volumes about our team’s dedication and the unwavering commitment of our valued educators and faculty members to learn about the latest technologies to share with their students.”
The Oracle Academy + Oracle APEX Knowledge Builder event presented the extensive educational resources that Oracle Academy offers to faculty and their students. Participants commuted to attend from different cities across the country just to take part in the immersive exploration of Oracle Academy’s multifaceted capabilities and ongoing projects.
Albert Triola, Oracle Country Leader, Spain, delivered an opening speech that inaugurated the event and encapsulated the spirit of Oracle Academy’s dedication to excellence and continuous evolution.
The main part of the event provided the participants with a thorough examination of Oracle APEX, a leading no-code/low-code application development tool.
This presentation was led by expert Guillermo Best, Technology Architect Manager for Oracle EMEA. He showcased how Oracle APEX represents a technological leap that can broaden horizons for those less versed in programming. Additionally, Oracle Academy provides curriculum and tools focused on APEX that educators can use to help their students learn how to create and innovate.
The event culminated with a networking session, and also provided the attendees with a unique opportunity to try the Oracle Formula 1 simulator, which injected an extra layer of dynamism into the already vibrant gathering.
The fervor and passion exhibited by the Spanish team throughout the event fostered an environment of innovative ideas, as well as discussions by educators from several of the educational institutions who attended on creating tangible projects using APEX.
Carrasco said, “Orchestrating such impactful events and initiatives is a true honor, ensuring that we continue to advance knowledge, skills, diversity and inclusion in technology with our commitment to education.”
Thank you to everyone who took part in such a great event !
