Oracle Academy in Thailand recently hosted a virtual event for educators across the country to highlight the value of cloud technology in education. With Oracle Academy’s mission to advance computing education around the world to increase knowledge, innovation, skills development, and diversity in technology fields, the Oracle Academy Cloud Program (OACP) was introduced as a medium for educators to empower education in their classrooms.

Mr. Taveesak Saengthong, Managing Director for Oracle Thailand, gave an opening speech and shared his perspective on the benefits of cloud computing, especially in today’s world of virtual learning. Mr. Jirapong Laokajorn, Technology Cloud Sales Director, then discussed use cases of Oracle Cloud services across the globe and his experiences working with clients from different industries. Moreover, he emphasized the demand for a skilled workforce who are able to adapt their knowledge and skills to address various business challenges and innovate.

After these business insights, Mr. Jian Li, Principal Instructor with Oracle Academy, presented a demonstration of the Oracle Academy Cloud Program offering. The educators learned how to create their Cloud Program accounts and also assign them for their students. They were introduced to Oracle Cloud Free Tier, Oracle Autonomous Database, Compute VM, and more. The educators now are able to utilize the OACP together with academic-based curriculum and resources to provide robust computing education and hands-on practice to their students.

Oracle Academy also took this opportunity to highlight benefits of the Oracle Academy program to all current Institutional members in Thailand, including access to world-class technology and software, expert curriculum, teaching and learning materials, professional development opportunities, Oracle professional certification exam resources, and much more.
