The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is the largest umbrella organization of all information technology professionals, interest groups, and stakeholders in Nigeria.

On the August 11-13, 2020, Oracle Academy sponsored and participated in the society’s International Annual Conference, 2020 virtual edition. Around 60 percent of participants, both attendees and members of NCS, came from academia.

Oracle Academy’s Sefunmi Fadahunsi-Durojaye and Danny Gooris (pictured) took part in the event as both speakers and panelists to present the Oracle Academy free program benefits and participate in discussions to promote e-learning and sustainable educational development.

This event has now given Oracle Academy the opportunity to develop a sustainable collaboration with the academic population of the NCS to promote computer science education while providing free teaching and learning resources to educators.

The student arm of NCS also now is able to engage and take advantage of free learning resources through future collaborations with NCS and Oracle Academy.   This conference sparked the start of engagements with educators and student members of NCS, who now can access Oracle Academy’s program benefits.
