Oracle Academy recently supported Taiwan’s leading education expo dedicated to educators: EDTECH TAIWAN. This event, which took place in December in Taipei, was organized by the Taipei Computer Association and Ministry of Science and Technology, and is now Taiwan’s signature education event. The Expo brought together more than 300 exhibitors and over 3,500 Taiwan educators and school leaders, providing a platform for attendees to discover the latest developments in educational resources and learning technology.

This year Oracle Academy Country Manager in Taiwan, Francine Yang, delivered a session, “Think Autonomous and Find More Time to Create,” that introduced the new Oracle Academy Cloud Program. This new benefit for Oracle Academy Institutional members will be available in early 2020 for educators and students and will provide cloud for the classroom with access to Oracle Cloud Free Tier. Oracle Cloud Free Tier includes the new Always Free services―Oracle Autonomous Database and Gen 2 Cloud infrastructure―available for an unlimited time for classroom teaching and learning.

Francine let educators know that as members of Oracle Academy, they would enjoy an easy, accelerated signup process and would be able to integrate the most comprehensive, robust cloud technology and the latest database features and computing power available today as they prepare students to become tomorrow’s technology innovators and leaders. Along with robust academic curriculum and resources, the new Oracle Academy Cloud Program makes Oracle Academy a global leader in computing education for educators and their students.

As Oracle’s global, philanthropic educational program, Oracle Academy advances computing education around the world to increase knowledge, innovation, skills development, and diversity in technology fields. The program engages with thousands of educational institutions and educators in more than 120 countries, helping millions of students become college and career ready.
