Oracle Academy North America educators attend virtual session on the Oracle Academy Member Hub

Denise Hobbs
Regional Director, North America

This back to school season is different from any other; faculty and students face a situation in constant flux. Many faculty face a monumental task of teaching in multiple settings, whether it is in-person, virtual, or a combination of the two. It is important for them to have the tools they need to be successful in this new learning atmosphere.

Through Oracle Academy, Oracle’s global philanthropic program, we offer resources to help faculty be successful no matter their teaching environment. One of our new tools is a new learning management system, the Oracle Academy Member Hub. This tool is a one-stop shop for accessing Oracle Academy resources such as software, including NetSuite, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and the Oracle Cloud Free tier, curriculum, and faculty professional development. All. For. Free.

On September 23, 2020, Danielle Ferretti, Oracle Academy Marketing Specialist for North America, and Lisa Palombo, Oracle Academy Sr. Curriculum Developer, presented a live webcast providing an overview of the new Oracle Academy Member Hub. Oracle Academy member educators representing the United States and Canada attended the event to learn how this new system can help facilitate teaching database, Java, data science and other critical computing education skills in a virtual or hybrid environment.

The new Oracle Academy Member Hub is a game changer for teaching in this new reality of online and hybrid learning.

As Oracle’s global, philanthropic educational program, Oracle Academy advances computing education around the world to increase knowledge, innovation, skills development, and diversity in technology fields. Oracle Academy understands and values educators as partners who are empowered to facilitate innovative student learning in and outside the classroom.
