Central and Eastern Europe is proving to be an attractive region for students from all over the globe to come and study. Two Oracle Academy member institutions from Croatia and Hungary, Catholic University of Croatia and Pázmány Péter Catholic University of Hungary, are among those exploring the opportunity and aiming to attract students.
This academic year, the two institutions began developing a new dual-degree international study program in English at Catholic University of Croatia, the first in the ICT field.
This two-year project is approved by the Croatian Ministry of Education and is funded primarily from European Social Fund. Oracle is supporting the consortium, and our representative participated in the project team meeting on March 8, 2019.
These Oracle Academy Institutional members will be implementing Oracle Academy curricula into the courses and other free Oracle products and services such as software, support, and cloud practice environments, in the new joint study program.
Information about the meeting, including a list of all participants and photos, can be found (in Croatian language) on web pages of the Catholic University of Croatia: http://www.unicath.hr/sastanak-projektnog-tima-i-strucnjaka-hks-a-i-katolickog-sveucilista-pazmany-peter-iz-budimpeste.
In the two years of the project life cycle, which officially began in this 2018/2019 academic year, the new study program needed to be developed, submitted for approval to accreditation agencies in both Croatia and Hungary, and ultimately approved by them before the first students could be enrolled in the academic year 2020/2021.
More information about this project (mostly in Croatian language), including photos, can be found in the links below, published on the official web site of the Catholic University of Croatia:
