Oracle Academy hosts data science webcast for University of Engineering & Technology in Pakistan

Recently, Oracle Academy hosted a live webcast, “Data Science and Digital Entrepreneurship,” to students and faculty from the computer science department at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore, Pakistan.

Atif Humayun Akhter, Senior Manager, Digital Enterprise Architect & Data Science, Oracle, delivered the 90-minute session, where he demonstrated the various features of data science available in cloud technology and introduced participants to the “data perspective”, data ecosystem, and Oracle Academy curriculum and learning resources focused on data science .

Zeena Shabbir, MSc student at UET, said, “This session helped students to stay in touch with the latest technologies and will ultimately help Masters and PhD students to do quality work in their research.”

Dr. Syed Khaldoon Khurshid, assistant professor, Department of Computer Science, remarked, “I hope this session will be the starting point for a strong collaboration between UET and Oracle Academy for future academic endeavors."
