Oracle Academy recently facilitated Oracle Certification Exams for students at a public vocational secondary school, SMKN 4 Padalarang, in West Java Province, Indonesia. Twenty-eight students from the school sat the Oracle Certified Junior Associate (OCJA) Java Foundations exam at the computer lab in SMKN 4 Padalarang, which was proctored by Oracle University representatives.
As a member of Oracle Academy since 2012, the SMKN 4 Padalarang vocational school has been implementing Oracle Academy course curriculum over the past three years, with teachers using the free Oracle Academy content to teach Java Fundamentals, Java Foundations, Database Foundations, and Java Programming, especially for students majoring in Software Engineering.
The school plans to continue to teach the Oracle Academy curriculum, as it is aligned to the Oracle Certifications offered through Oracle University. It also plans to hold Oracle Certification Exams yearly just prior to student graduation to provide students with a useful credential when applying for internships, summer jobs, and their first job after leaving post-secondary education.
