The Train the Trainer classes from Oracle Academy included Database Design and Programming with SQL, Java Programming, and Java Fundamentals, and provided the educators with skills and knowledge to teach the Oracle Academy curriculum to students in their respective institutions. The training was led by Rizqy Ardiansyah, a professional trainer from Oracle Academy.
According to feedback, the course was well received by attendees. Dr. Adamu Abubakar Ibrahim, a Nigerian educator who teaches at Islamic International University Malaysia (IIUM), said, “MDEC and Oracle Academy did a tremendous job in providing academic staff of Malaysia institutions of higher learning the opportunity to engage with Oracle Academy resources for teaching and learning. It was my best training ever. Using Oracle Academy iLearning is incredible; it is the platform that combines a group of courses into one learning event. The provision of student-teacher integrated learning curriculum and materials makes it easier for preparation and assessment of teaching and learning. Another interesting part of iLearning is the interactive learning tools,” he said. “The instructor, Rizqi, is excellent. He made me truly enjoy learning more about Java and database, and motivated me to upgrade to Oracle Certification from OCP to OCM. Definitely I will enroll my students in Oracle Academy iLearning, and prepare them for Oracle certification.”
“I attended Database Design and Programming with SQL training,” said Dr. Norhazaliana Binti Affendi from Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah, Jitra, Kedah. “It was good and interesting, and increased my knowledge. It provided me with hands-on experience in drawing an ERD diagram using software, converting it into a physical diagram, running a query statement and much more. Thank you to MDEC and Oracle Academy for organizing such wonderful event.”
Satrya Fajri Pratama, PhD, Senior Lecturer from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), said, “The Java Fundamentals and Java Programming training is really beneficial and insightful, to say the least. It covers the necessary materials for those who are just recently introduced to Java Programming language, and is even a decent refreshment for those working in Java, industry practitioners and academia alike. The instructor Rizqi was very knowledgeable, and it is very evident that Java is his cup of tea/coffee.”
Dr. Ramesh Kumar Ayyasamy, Assistant Professor from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), said, “I attended Database Design and Programming with SQL for five days. This training was very informative. It really made me work out with several examples and come to know new data analysing functions and techniques, the best of SQL practices. I will conduct training to enrich my student knowledge by transferring the skills and tips I learned.”
