Oracle Academy and Ministry of National Education in Turkey collaborate on virtual teacher trainings

Jane Richardson
Senior Director, EMEA

The Ministry of National Education in Turkey (MoNE) recently launched a “distance education” program for teachers to support their professional and personal development while in-person education in all schools has been suspended for the remainder of the year.

Within the scope of the program, the ministry will open 17 virtual professional development training programs for teachers on various topics in informatics in alignment with the 2023 Education Vision in Turkey. The training programs are accredited by UNESCO National Commission of Turkey and were created in collaboration with different international organizations and institutions, universities, academics and civil society organizations.

As part of this program, Oracle Academy, in collaboration with MoNE, General Directorate of Teacher Training and Education, is delivering its Java Foundations and Database Foundations virtual trainings to 53 teachers across Turkey. The courses will support improving their knowledge and skills on Java programming and database concepts. The trainings began on April 6, 2020, and will be completed by May 7, 2020. Upon successful completion of the course trainings, the teachers will receive course completion certificates.

Oracle Academy is proud to continue to provide robust virtual online computing education resources for the professional development of teachers across Turkey and to support the Ministry of National Education in Turkey’s strategic objectives.
