International Girls in ICT Day is an initiative backed by all International Telecommunications Union member states. The event, which takes place each year on the fourth Thursday in April, empowers and encourages young women to consider careers in tech, enabling both girls and technology companies to reap the benefits of greater female participation in the ICT sector.
In April 2018, Oracle Academy held events in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru, featuring Oracle leaders as speakers.
