King Saud University educates students on Oracle technology to become job ready

Jane Richardson
Senior Director, EMEA

Oracle Academy in Saudi Arabia is a proud supporter of the King Saud University (KSU) Skills Development Department (in Arabic), which educates students and assists them in becoming “job ready” using the latest technology skills development programs available.

The university has invested time and effort forming the “Jahez” program, which means “Ready.” This program has more than 14 faculty, administrators, and staff to deliver and manage it. It runs every year and includes an Oracle technology track, which offers Oracle Academy curriculum, including the Programming with PL/SQL course. This course enables students to gain the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to pass the professional certification exam and become Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associates (OCA).

Recently, 40 students graduated from the Jahez program, the majority of whom were senior Bachelor of Computer Science students, alongside some Master Degree students.

As an Oracle Academy institutional member, King Saud University is eligible for discounts of 50 percent on Oracle certification practice exams through Kaplan IT Training, and receives discounts of 25 percent on Oracle certification exam vouchers. Members can access these benefits in the Member site under “Discounts” on the home page.

Congratulations to these students, and thank you to all the dedicated university educators and staff who support their students’ future career development, and to Najla Alkebsi for supporting  Oracle Academy in Saudi Arabia.
