IT Students from Institut Teknologi Kalimantan in Indonesia recently visited the Oracle office in Jakarta, Indonesia, to obtain a deeper insight into the IT industry, the latest technologies, and tech career options. The students flew from Kalimantan Island to Jakarta to visit the Oracle office and meet directly with the Oracle experts.
The event’s keynote speaker, Mohamad Rizal Arryadi, CPIM, CSCP, a Principal Consultant of Oracle ASEAN, provided a presentation focused on the latest technology trends and innovations entering the market. These disruptive technologies are bringing new challenges to industry, and the education sector must be able to adapt with curriculum that meets these demands. Rizal shared steps that students need to take to embrace technological developments and advancements in the industry, such as quickly learning the essential technologies, getting career certified, learning through experience to contextualize their student learning, and employing their creativity.
Nurul Huda, Country Manager for Oracle Academy Indonesia and Malaysia, shared how Oracle Academy supports students in learning and understanding current technologies, and how they can attain professional certificates on Database and Java before they graduate from school to prepare for further education or careers.
This engaging event was closed with a lively question and answer discussion on topics raised by the students, and honed their interest in working in the IT industry.
