WebLogic Weekly for July 25th, 2011 - Scripting, Active GridLink and more

News

WebLogic Server's Active GridLink for RAC, the best possible way to connect Java middleware and Oracle RAC databases, was recently updated in the FMW licensing documentation. Active GridLink for RAC and use of GridLink Data Sources is now available as part of WebLogic Suite. This means that users of WebLogic Suite can now take advantage of the industry-leading integration between WebLogic Server and Oracle RAC, which is fully supported and certified by Oracle. Active GridLink for RAC has received a great deal of positive feedback from Exalogic users, and there has been tremendous demand for support from WebLogic Suite customers. For more information on Active GridLink for RAC and GridLink Data Sources, see the WebLogic Server product documentation, or the whitepaper on this topic on OTN.

Ruma Sanyal blogs that IDC ranks Oracle #1 in Application Server Marketshare again. See the press release for more detail.
