Flashback: Vienna Workshop 13-AUG

19 Oracle partners attended to the Oracle Database Upgrade workshop on the 13th of August 2009 in the Oracle Austria headquaters located in the IZD Tower on the Danube island. And - great news - 5 of these 19 ISVs/SIs already have 11g production databases running.

But Vienna is not only a good place for an Oracle workshop, it's also a great place for very good food. My personal recommendation is Schon Schön, a fancy restaurant in the 7th district. It offers a daily lunch menu at an extremly good price-quality relation - and the dinner menu as well as the selcetion of Austrian wines is simply excellent.

And if you still believe administering an Oracle database is complicated than try to find your way through the Vienna parking system - and I always thought we Germans are the world champions in putting traffic signs everywhere ... You have to fill out those tiny little sheets of paper, put them in front of your wind shield and hope that you didn't miss a cross at the right place ...
