Tuxedo JCA adapter
By Deepak Goel-Oracle on Aug 07, 2009
Tuxedo product team is developing a JCA adapter for Tuxedo. This adapter will allow bi-directional connectivity between Tuxedo and JCA compliant application servers (such as WebLogic, JBoss, and WebSphere). Essentially Tuxedo JCA adapter will provide similar functionality for JCA compliant app servers as WebLogic Tuxedo Connector provides for WebLogic server, including transaction and security context propagation from app server to Tuxedo.
I am curious to know of applications which require Tuxedo clients/servers to call a J2EE service within a global transaction context. Is this a requirement that you come across frequently? If yes, how do you work around it now? Note that WTC supports transaction context propagation from Tuxedo to WebLogic server, but not for other app servers.
Also, we are planning for a beta program for the Tuxedo JCA Adapter later this year. The beta program will be limited to 5 customers/partners. If you are interested in beta participation, please let your Oracle account team representative know or let me know via direct e-mail.
