Tuxedo #1 in TPC-C Benchmark
By Todd Little on Oct 14, 2009
On Monday, Sun Microsystems published a new world record for the TPC-C benchmark. This is a standard benchmark that is defined by the Transaction Processing Performance Council. Larry Ellison announced the results during the Sunday night Keynote at Oracle OpenWorld. The transaction monitor used was Tuxedo, of course!
The new world record for TPC-C is 7,717,511 transactions per minute or 128,625 TPS. Although not the highest number we've seen for Tuxedo (one customer is performing over 660,000 TPS with Tuxedo), it is certainly the highest published benchmark for Tuxedo.
