xVM Launch Video

I'm in MPK this week for the xVM launch.  Here's a replay of the live webcast that was just done, where our VDI demo from a Sun Ray in Menlo Park accessed a Sun Ray Server and a Windows session in Hamburg, Germany.  Went pretty well, and now we can breath a big sigh of relief that the interwebs stayed up.  :)

Thin Guy,

Pretty impressive line up of demos
Out of interest do you know what Virtualization platform was powering the Windows XP virtual desktop in the VDI segment?

The demo was using our current shipping Sun VDI offering with a VMWare back-end. In the press/analyst boot camp we showed VDI .next to the press and analysts which is Virtual Box powered, allowing connection to any OS which runs under Virtual Box. We will also be showing VDI .next week at VMWorld.

FB: Not only a pretty impressive line up of demos. The demos themselves where also impressive and fast. ;)

All: The only way to see what the host OS was was by looking at the hardware. Also the VDI solution with SSGD and SRSS was very smooth while running thousands of miles away (Germany) :)
