Sun Ray Laptops
By ThinGuy on Jun 03, 2006
While Jonathan was somewhat taken aback by a prospective customers knowledge of Solaris (and Sun in general), I'm not at all suprised that not very many people know there is a growing OEM market for Sun Rays. What's more is that two of first OEM's created laptop form factor Sun Rays. I recently had a comment in my other blog that suggested a laptop Sun Ray would be a great idea.
Tadpole makes a 12" and 15" Sun Ray laptop called the Comet.
NatureTech not only makes desktop Sun Ray called the NC200, in the future they will also be making a notebook Sun Ray called the NC320.
(Unfortunately due to the design of the Naturetech website, I can't provide links directly to the products)
All the notebooks support wireless and all are quite nice. Mobility with hot desking, plus added mobility with the tried and true combination of WiFi and a notebook form factor.
I own the 15" Tadpole and have been very happy with it. It allows me the freedom to do all the work I do on Sun Rays from anywhere my WiFi signal reaches.
