It would be nice if we could actually purchase Sun Ray equipment.
So far we have been waiting for two months just to get a price.

Do you know if the 3i is VESA mountable?

Posted by Charles Soto on September 21, 2010 at 02:38 AM PDT #

Hi Charles,
Yes. The 3i has the standard 100mm VESA mount and the stand is removable.

Hi Craig,

Have you come across any trading house using sunray as the trading station? A trader normally has 4-5 screens on his desk, these are normally powered by a mid range workstation. will sunray work in a trading environment?

thanks

Hi lsaw,
Absolutely. You can combine up to 16 Sun Rays into a multihead group and drive with one keyboard and mouse. We are working on delivering true windows multihead, but could easily demonstrate this feature today using Oracle VDI. Our Rapidly Changing Area (RCA) technology should keep those busy ticker screens and what not up to date. We have a who practice dedicated to financial services and quite a few Sun Ray experts in that group. Let me know if I can put you in touch with them.

Hi Craig,

Yes, we would very much like to talk to someone in regards to the possibilities. We are base in Singapore, if you could have someone contact me on my public domain (aka spam account) email street.71@gmail.com, i will reply with my contact details. Thanks.

Hi lsaw,
You should be contacted shortly, I'm not exactly sure of the current situation with our office in Singapore but the old Sun office, if still being used, has/had an excellent demonstration center.
