Fabulous Frozen Las Vegas!
And a few more from my camera phone as the weather unfolded throughout the day.
Some "inclement" weather here in the Vegas valley. On the way to Maggie's practice last night, the Emergency Broadcast System broke in about a tornado alert for Clark County. There were sightings in Sandy Valley, NV so I guess the moniker of trailer parks being "tornado magnets" is correct. Hopefully I don't have any readers in Sandy Valley. ;)
Later on at "grown up" soccer practice, we just got dumped on, I mean hard! Had to cut it short as the lightning was getting close.
Woke this morning to the safari top on the jeep full of a nights worth of rain water. Good thing I at least had the doors on, but the back got a good soaking. Good thing they are built for that.
I hit the gym earlier this morning so I could do my cardio while the US Women's team played England. Great game, very close in the first half. Then the US was dominant the second half, winning 3-0. w00t!
Sadly though, when I got back, I checked out the kids league web page and saw that our local parks and recreation department had deemed all the fields unplayable today. All games cancelled. No soccer for you!
