Using Oracle SOA Suite, Agilent established a new service integration infrastructure that met all its performance requirements and replaced existing legacy infrastructure. This shaped and delivered Agilent's mobile strategy and helped in service standardization. One of the tangible outcomes with the centralized infrastructure was to help IT scale with acquisitions, delivering on a million dollars in run savings.
Scalable and highly available, the new and powerful centralized infrastructure helps ramp up new applications, including delivering a mobile solution without new technology add-ons. Agilent plans to continue to build capabilities, including leveraging SOA Governance - to increase standardization and reuse. Here is a presentation by Rajesh Gathwala, enterprise architect at Agilent Technologies further on this solution.
