Amway Enables Optimized Integrations with Oracle SOA Suite

At the core of Amway's global integration infrastructure is Oracle SOA Suite. By applying key performance tuning configurations, Amway is able to achieve double-digit millisecond latencies under maximum load. Leveraging the Oracle Exalogic platform enables the company to achieve even more optimization, enabling the introduction of other tool-sets such as Oracle Service Bus and Oracle Business Activity Monitoring for true end-to-end integration support. In this presentation, Amway shares specific recommendations for maximizing performance of this entire SOA infrastructure.

Integration between numerous disparate systems across Amway's global affiliates posed several exciting challenges. Join us in this session to understand how Amway delivered on every one of the following:

  • Extreme performance requirements (sub millisecond response times, peak load handling)
  • 100% high availability
  • Stringent security and compliance requirements
  • Multi-lingual and character set challenges
  • Zero downtime while addressing all the issues above

Here are the details of the session at Open World, we look forward to meeting you!

Ascension Improves Patient Experience with Next-Generation Healthcare Integration

Ascension Health is working to meet its next generation healthcare integration platform requirements for its 26 health ministries (hospitals), using Oracle SOA Suite for healthcare integration. At the Oracle Open World 2013 session, Ascension will cover the key architecture, ROI, best practices, and lessons learned from Ascension's first pilot implementation and focus on underlying technologies that make all this happen.

Ascension's challenges with existing environment:

  • Disparate hardware and operating systems that cause challenges for support and maintenance
  • Disparate applications that cause development, governance, support and contractual headaches
  • No central IT focus for integration services
  • Inability to cost effectively meet regulatory requirements

New Course - SOA Suite 11g: Healthcare Integration

We have just released a new course for healthcare integration titled "SOA Suite 11g: Healthcare Integration". Oracle SOA Suite for healthcare integration helps healthcare entities securely exchange HL7 standard documents. You will learn how easy it is to create SOA composite applications that process these healthcare standard documents. You also learn how to exchange messages with web services as well as how to incorporate your own Java code into a healthcare integration application. And you learn how to use JMS queues for internal delivery channels.

The course is available worldwide as instructor led training in a classroom or online. The course codes are D81662GC10 for the classroom version and D81664GC10 for the online version. See the Oracle University website for scheduling details.

US Intelligence Community Builds Application Stores

The US intelligence community (IC) is deploying application stores to provide warehousing capabilities to manage IT assets. The community uses thousands of applications to perform its mission. A challenge for the application environment is how to govern and provision application stores.

Oracle Enterprise Repository has been integrated with the IC-developed OZONE widget storefront and execution environment to streamline the access of intelligence analysts and producers to the applications they need. Join us to understand Ozone Market Place (OMP) Architecture including application store metadata governance, the Oracle Enterprise Repository architecture, workflow, data models, and lessons learned.

To understand this implementation live and talk to the experts, join us at Oracle Open World 2013. Here are details of the session:
