Updated: Sun GDD Scripts for Sun Java System Servers

Sun has updated the Sun GDD (Gathering Debug Data) scripts for the Solaris OS and Linux in the BigAdmin Scripts Collection. Scripts have been updated for Application Server, Calendar Server, Directory Server, Messaging Server, and so on.

Log File Monitor Script on BigAdmin Community Wiki

Ross Moffat posted the Log File Monitor Script on the BigAdmin community wiki. Here is a script that can be used to monitor a log file and run a command (or perform a number of actions if the script itself is modified) when a certain pattern is matched a set number of times.

Community Tech Tip on BigAdmin Wiki: Trapping the SIGTERM

A member of the sys admin community posted this tech tip directly on the BigAdmin wiki: How to leave scripts running when you log off (and exit nicely when a script is sent a SIGTERM signal). This page highlights the usefulness of the trap command for trapping the SIGTERM, 1, signal to enable scripts to keep running after the user who started the process logs off.

Community Script: Starting and Stopping ramdisks in the Solaris OS
