I've been studying Java for the last three months and its really fun! C was good for a while when i studied it and i became the best programmer in my class (still a high school student). I've studied the basics, inheritance, polymorphism, arrays, currently on Generics and already know functions, loops, and other basics from C, so I'm kinda new to Java. ((need reference to some good books please)). I like reading programming books and intend to dedicate a lot of years to Java.

Do you know about the New to Java Programming Center at http://java.sun.com/new2java/gettingstarted.jsp ? It contains many pointers to articles and sites that can help you grow as a Java developer. You can find Java technology-related forums at http://forums.sun.com/index.jspa or read Core Java Tech Tips at http://blogs.sun.com/CoreJavaTechTips/ .
