Deploying the AMP Stack in Virtualized Environments: A Step Towards Cloud Computing

This Sun BluePrints article describes AMP deployment using the virtualization features built into the Solaris OS. Examples include ZFS to reduce virtual server deployment times and Project Crossbow technology to set up a virtual network that manages traffic for the multiple AMP stacks running on the physical system.

Comments:

Unfortunately this blueprint is very outdated, as it speaks of CSK\* packages and related details.

The (fully supported for production use) Sun Web Stack replaced those packages a year ago. Please update the blueprint to reflect this. Feel free to contact me if you need more info on Sun's Web Stack.

To anyone reading the blueprint, please do not use the CSK\* packages. They are obsolete and unsupported.

Hi, Jyri. BigAdmin only promotes Sun BluePrints (we don't write them), but I will pass along this comment to the BluePrints team. Thanks!
