Announcing Oracle Retail Tutorials for the Retail Reference Model and Retail Reference Architecture
By Oracle Retail Documentation Team-Oracle on Mar 09, 2012
Oracle Retail is currently piloting a new training opportunity for retailers and partners – Oracle Retail Tutorials. These tutorials are intended to provide short product-related content in areas that may be particularly challenging, or for which Oracle can add value by providing a recorded demonstration. The first Oracle Retail Tutorials explain the Oracle Retail Reference Model, and the Oracle Retail Reference Architecture. These are not part of a larger training course nor is there any charge for them.
Oracle Retail Reference Model (RRM) Tutorial Overview
This tutorial addresses the Oracle Retail Reference Model’s comprehensive collection of established, industry leading business processes, which guide retailers and implementers on the use of Oracle Retail applications to achieve greater business value. This tutorial includes each of the workflow of the retail industry model levels starting at level 0. Each level is a collection of functional areas that describe the retail enterprise as a whole, using Value Added Chain notation arranged according to Plan, Buy, Move, Sell, and Enterprise Operations. It also shows the Business Process Areas Models that are a conceptual representation of a major business process area. The processes support an implementation of merchandising, stores, planning, and supply chain products, and act as a guide for both the business and implementation teams.
