The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has released the updated XML requirement specifications of software developed by employers for submission of annual Employer’s Return of Remuneration and Pensions (IR56B) in computerized format. The new specifications require the adoption of Unicode Standard for input of Chinese characters and submission of data files in XML format. This would apply to all applications lodged by employers on or after 1 March 2014. In order to ensure compliance with this legislative initiative Oracle has updated the position statement that is made available on My Oracle Support, Document ID 1630409.1.
