Legislative Update for PeopleSoft HCM Global Payroll Japan

The Japanese government announced new legislation called “My Number Act” to create an ID number system to be used in administrative procedures in Japan. My Number system is intended to effectively identify information about individuals that is collected and retained separately by multiple governmental organizations, and to enhance the efficiency and fairness of the administration of taxation and social welfare in Japan. The My Number Act is scheduled to be launched from January 2016.

Japan Pension service has announced change in paper size for Santei and Geppen notification effective January 2015. Effective 1st April 2015 Jido teate Kyoshutsukin Child care allowance has been changed to Kodomo/Kosodate Kyoshutsukin.

平成27年1月から、算定基礎届・月額変更届の用紙サイズがB5版からA4版に変更になりました。

児童手当拠出金が平成27年4月から「子ども・子育て拠出金」に名称変更となりました。

Income Tax YEA Changes from 2013

The National Tax Agency has announced to change Income Tax of YEA for 2013 because of Reconstruction Tax (Fukkou Tokubetsu Shotokuzei). Our Position Statement has been revised to include these legislative updates and the delivery timelines for the respective changes. The National Tax Agency has announced the draft version of Insurance and Spouse Special Deduction Report (Kyuuyo Shotokusha no Hokenryo Koujo Shinkokusho ken Kyuuyo Shotokusha no Haiguusha Tokubetsu Koujo Shinkokusho) for YEA 2012. Executive Summary:
Payee's contribution to defined contribution pension plan (enterprise type) will become legitimate effective January 1st, 2012.

Details:
As defined contribution pension plan is deductible from taxable income, it has the impact on Withholding Tax and Year-End Adjustment calculation. Global Payroll for Japan provides new deductions for defined contribution pension.

Patch Availability:
These changes are expected to be delivered for releases 9.0 and 9.1 by end of November 2011, provided there are no further amendments.
