Legislative Updates for PeopleSoft GLobal Payroll India

As part of the 2013 Budget, the Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat states have announced amendments to the Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act. There are changes to Professional Tax slabs which are effective 1st of April 2013.  Our Position Statement has been revised to include these legislative updates and the delivery timelines for the respective changes. PeopleSoft HCM Global Payroll SEPA Position Statement

European authorities have announced that SEPA will definitely become the mandatory banking format to manage credit transfers in Euros from February 2014 onwards. This date marks the end the of the transition period in a number of countries including France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands, as country specific banking formats will no longer be accepted by banks in those countries after January 2014. This affects payroll payments, that could be processed either using country specific banking formats or the SEPA banking format until now.

In order to support the compliance needs of PeopleSoft HCM Global Payroll customers on releases 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2, Oracle is announcing important updates to enhance and extend its existing SEPA solution, in a new SEPA Position Statement published on My Oracle Support , Document ID 1546932.1. If you are a PeopleSoft HCM Global Payroll customer in Europe and haven’t moved your payroll payments to SEPA yet, please read this document to take advantage of the complete SEPA solution and latest enhancements delivered by Oracle for PeopleSoft customers.

As part of the measures that were designed to spur the transformation of Singapore’s economy, inclusive and sustainable growth, and higher wages for Singaporeans, the Singapore Government in Budget 2013 announced few amendments with respect to CPF contribution rates for low wage workers, foreign worker levies & dependency ratio ceilings for marine and services sectors. These statutory changes has various effective dates starting from July 2013 until July 2015.

Legislative Updates for PeopleSoft Global Payroll Singapore

Introduction of Shared Parental, Child Care and Adoption Leave Payments

In January 2013, Ministry of Manpower has amended legislations to support work life harmony and encourage shared parental responsibility. They introduced new Leave Payments which are effective 1st of May 2013.

Key highlights of the amendments are;  Introduction of Shared parental leave, Adoption and Extended Child Care Leave along with increase in Paternity Leave days from 3 to 1 week.
