Prepare for My Oracle Support (MOS) Release 14.3—Browser Requirements

If you have a CSI number, then you are eligible for technical support for your Oracle products using the My Oracle Support (MOS) portal.

With the rollout of My Oracle Support 14.3 on July 18, 2014, there will be changes to certified browsers.

If your browser is not upgraded, you may encounter issues or receive unexpected results and the solution will be to move to the certified browser. Fixes will not be generated for browsers that are no longer supported.

Check your browser version before July 18 to minimize any adverse impact later, when you do need to use MOS for any research or to file an SR.

Note: Customer/Cloud Portal 14.4 will be released next quarter.

End of Error Correction for WebCenter Portal Patch Set 11.1.1.6.x

The Grace Period for WebCenter Portal (WCP) Patch Set 11.1.1.6.x just ended (April 2014) and therefore WCP 11.1.1.6.x has fallen out of Error Correction.  This means new patches (error correction) for WCP 11.1.1.6.x will no longer be provided.  However, you can still download and install existing WCP 11.1.1.6.x patches.  Customers are encouraged to update to the latest Patch Set/Bundle Patch, which at the time of this writing was WCP 11.1.1.8.3.  See Error Correction Support Dates for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (11.1.1/11.1.2) (Doc ID 1290894.1).

Oracle provides bug fixes for products as part of Premier and Extended Support (but not Sustaining Support).  Error Correction explains the methods that are used to deliver bug fixes and some of the policies regarding those methods.  The Error Correction Policy describes details about how Oracle delivers error corrections within the life of those releases.  This includes policies on how long we will create new fixes for older forms of patch delivery such as patch sets and bundle patches.

Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) De-Supported as Certified Browser

Beginning April 4, 2014, Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) will be de-supported as a certified browser for My Oracle Support (support.oracle.com) and the Cloud Support Portal, impacting both Oracle employees and customers. Customers will receive a communication (link) informing them of the IE7 changes and that they should make the transition to a higher browser version.

Please upgrade your browser version if you are currently an IE7 user. Supported browsers certified on My Oracle Support can be seen in the Supported Browser article.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended that customers do not upgrade to IE11 as it is currently not certified to run with My Oracle Support and the Cloud Support Portal. Plans to support IE11 are targeted for January 31, 2014.
