Join one or more of Oracle's Portal Communities!

Orcas are interesting. For example, did you know that certain pods of killer-whales only eat penguins, while other pods of these whales exclusively eat seals? A lone seal-eater will not associate with a community of penguin-eaters, and vice-versa. What does that conversation sound like? “Dude, penguins are SO GROSS!” Followed by a reply, “They don’t taste the best, but they carry a lot less blubber and fat than those nasty seals do…” I wonder; how many rogue “penguin eaters” eventually find their kind? How easily does a seal-eater hook up with others who relish the blubber?
If a lone penguin-eating Orca belonged to My Oracle Support, he could easily find this community. He would click the “Community” tab and under, “Find a Community,” he would type “Penguin Eaters” and he would quickly join them and talk about finding, catching, preparing, and enjoying the finer gourmet delicacies of all sorts of Antarctic penguins!
The same thing applies to us humans, too… I found a Community that interests me by typing in one of my Oracle products, “Oracle WebCenter Portal” or "Oracle Portal" or "WebCenter Interaction" in the “Find a Community” box. Now that I’ve joined, I can meet many other customers like me who use the product. I can compare implementations, find solutions to problems, and suggest a few tips and tricks of my own to like-minded folks in my new community!
Oracle Engineers routinely patrol these communities to provide solutions and suggestions to problems too, so I don’t have to create an SR for every single little thing.
And that’s not all! The Community’s home page offers Community News, Featured Discussions, Popular troubleshooting documents, and a message board style of group discussion that I can create new threads in to find answers. It’s all customizable to my preferences, too! For more information, CLICK HERE to learn how to use Communities to your advantage!
