A Twenty Billion Dollar Startup.
A little over a year ago, that's how someone from Oracle's Human Resources introduced the new parent company to a conference room full of employees of the former Agile software. A year later, we can look back and understand exactly what she meant.
It has been a whirlwind year at Oracle Agile PLM. Perhaps the most exciting aspect has been the ease with which we have been able to incorporate some of Oracle's amazing technology to offer high value-add solutions. The use of BI Publisher allows our customers to generate reports in custom formats with complex layouts, thereby enhancing readability and presentability. Oracle's AIA framework has allowed us to roll out a highly scalable and flexible ERP integration with E-Business suite.
Thanks to a global sales force, services organization and partner network, we now offer our products and services to customers in geographies and industries that we had barely touched as a small company.
At the same time, we remain committed to getting even closer to our customers with a view to continue to enrich our own knowledge of their business, and also to foster a global community dedicated to the continuous improvement of PLM processes. This blog operated by the think-tank at Agile PLM is one of the many endeavors to that goal.
Our intent is to provide detailed, relevant information about the Agile PLM product, which can be used in customer implementations. The content can range from business process discussions to highly technical issues. We shall also provide some explanation of new features in current releases. Per Oracle policies, this blog cannot discuss any future capability of Agile PLM, so you will not see that here.
We invite you to tune in to this space to hear about PLM best-practices, cool features, innovative solutions to common problems and lessons learnt in the field. We'd love it if you'd share your own experiences and opinions with everybody by leaving a comment, or with the bloggers confidentially via email.
