Oracle HCM Cloud Customer Q&A with eVerge Group
By HCM-Oracle on Jun 20, 2014
At this year’s Oracle HCM User Group (OHUG) Global conference, we had the opportunity to sit down with Oracle HCM Cloud customers for a short Q&A. We got to hear about what brought them to the OHUG conference, some of the benefits they are receiving from their Oracle HCM Cloud solutions, and advice they would give other businesses looking to move to the cloud.
Below is the discussion we had with Bob Moser, Senior Director, Oracle HCM Applications at eVerge Group.
Q: What made you attend the OHUG Global Conference this year?
Moser: Attending OHUG each year allows me to interact with Oracle’s product strategy and development teams. This allows me to hear the strategy and future product plans and see where the product is going in the future.
It also allows me to hear how other customers are using Oracle’s HCM solutions, where they are seeing benefits, and also where they see room for improvement.
Q: What Oracle HCM solutions are you currently using?
Moser: Everything. We have all of Oracle HCM Cloud. Currently we are using Oracle HCM Cloud Midsize for recruiting, but we have begun implementation on Oracle HCM Recruiting Cloud.
Q: What would you say is the most significant benefit you’ve realized from your use of Oracle HCM solutions?
Moser: First off it would be the benefit of having an integrated, unified application for all our HCM processes. This has many benefits over having multiple siloed applications running different processes including reduced costs and the sharing of data across different systems.
An improved employee experience leading to increased user adoption has also been a great win for us. We didn’t train our employees on the new system because we didn’t have to. While there was documentation available, the user experience is so streamlined, it wasn’t needed. By simplifying the user experience, more of our employees are using the system more often which helps drive value.
Finally, it also made it easier for us to meet our regulatory compliance responsibilities, simplifying many of HR processes and allowing us to focus our time in other areas.
Q: What advice would you give an organization looking to move their HR systems to the cloud?
Moser: It’s really important to understand the solution completely and evaluate it to see if it will meet your organization’s needs not just today, but also 5 years from now. Take a look at the product roadmap and evaluate the provider’s ability to deliver a solution that can growth and scale with you. The solution needs to support your organization’s needs from an HR transformational perspective in the short and long-term.
Thanks for the tips Bob. Enjoy the rest of the conference!
