Industry Analysts Praise Oracle HCM Following Inaugural HCM World Event

By Mike Vilimek

As the dust settles on what proved to be a fantastic HR-focused event, industry analysts have since weighed in on the inaugural HCM World and on Oracle HCM Cloud solutions in general. And to our delight, they were overwhelmingly positive.  Here are some quotes and links describing the observations of a few industry leading analysts:

Oracle Modernizes HR with Mobile and Wearable Computing

“At Oracle’s first-ever HCM World conference, the technology company demonstrated its commitment to human resources customers, explaining its strategy for Modern HR in the Cloud, which is focused on meeting the needs of employees in a large, dispersed workforce. The conference was insightful both intellectually and practically in its discussions of how workforces are changing.”

“Introducing updates every quarter is another indicator of its commitment to the HR sector.”

“Adding it all up, Oracle over the last two years has jumped ahead of most of its competitors by taking an integrated approach to human resources and talent management while innovating in analytics, mobile and social technologies and cloud computing.”

Oracle Pushes Modern HR – There is More Than Technology

“We were surprised by the uptake of momentum of Oracle HCM cloud back at OpenWorld - but can now report continued momentum in customer uptake.”

“Customer go lives are all over the globe, speaking for a good sales effort beyond North America, which can be a challenge for US based vendors.”

“Oracle also had the bravado to let the analysts play on the new iPad app - and can now successfully claim that even analysts can use their HCM system. Few other vendors have given the opportunity to the analyst community and this certainly raises the ante from a competition perspective. From the 90 minutes using the iPad app we can say that it's highly functional, easy to use and built in such a way that it is highly likely to make an everyday user (like a manager) happy using it.”

Oracle HCM in Review

“…it is apparent that HCM is a battlefield on which Oracle plans to fight and Oracle HCM Cloud is the weapon of choice.”

“Oracle is adopting a mobile-first approach to development. Analysts had a chance to see and use Oracle HCM Cloud Mobile, originally known as TAP. The solution offers managers and employees a mobile experience for many typical self-service functions; view team member profiles, view to-do activities, and interact with a mobile calendar.”

“…social can be brought into the mix to set Oracle apart. Oracle has its own Enterprise Social Network (ESN) in OSN, others do not. Effective embedding and novel application of social in HCM could highlight a level of innovation to existing and prospective clients.”

For those of you that attended the first ever HCM World, thank you, and we hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did. We are very grateful for the positive feedback shown above and we look forward to getting together again soon.
