Rocking at the Oracle Appreciation Event

Even a sharp drop in temperature didn’t stop tens of thousands of Oracle OpenWorld attendees from venturing out to Treasure Island Wednesday night for the Oracle Appreciation Event, which featured unlimited refreshments, plenty of fun and games, and some of the best views of San Francisco imaginable—capped by back-to-back concerts with the Kings of Leon and Pearl Jam.

Pearl Jam has been a major force in rock ‘n’ roll for over twenty years, and they rocked Treasure Island with the tunes that have made them famous since they roared out of the Pacific Northwest. Kings of Leon have just released their fifth album, Come Around Sundown, filled with songs that touch on everything from gospel to post-punk to down-home country and doo-wop.

The appreciation event is Oracle’s way of thanking customers for their support and for attending the annual flagship conference. Complimentary shuttle service to and from Treasure Island was provided, making it all the easier to rock the night away.
