In the middle of Yerba Buena Gardens, on a hot fall Monday afternoon, a new Oracle solution was introduced to Oracle OpenWorld attendees that will change the way America’s Cup events are viewed:the ORACLE TEAM USA Analytics Dashboard, powered by Oracle Endeca Information Discovery.
And one visitor to the demo could clearly see the dashboard’s benefits, even through the glaring afternoon sun. “It’s amazing because every team and fan now gets to access the race stats,” said Jennie Vickers of Zeopard Social, New Zealand.
The dashboard puts an America’s Cup spin on the technology’s capability to analyze structured and unstructured data. It provides the stats as well as the who’s who and who’s done what on ORACLE TEAM USA and during America’s Cup events.
Visitors to the pavilion can watch a live demo of the dashboard and get answers to their most burning questions: Who has the fastest starts on ORACLE TEAM USA—Oracle skippers Spithill or Coutts? Who has earned the most points? By America’s Cup team? By conditions? Who’s trending on social media? It’s all on the dashboard.
