Opening Ceremony Kicks Off Oracle Open World 2012

San Francisco’s lush Yerba Buena Gardens hosted the opening ceremony for Oracle OpenWorld 2012 Sunday night. Centered in the heart of the city and spreading out to the Howard Street Tent, the event brought thousands of attendees together for great food, generous drink, and the vintage funk and soulful blues sounds of London’s BluesMix.
Yerba Buena Gardens is also home of ORACLE TEAM USA’s America’s Cup Pavilion, providing attendees with a chance to meet the sailors who will be defending the 34th America’s Cup in 2013. Throughout Oracle OpenWorld, attendees can get a good look at the 161-year-old trophy itself—the oldest trophy still being contested in international sport.
