3.  New MySQL Enterprise Oracle Certifications

The integration of MySQL with other Oracle products makes it faster and easier for Oracle customers to deploy and manage MySQL.

MySQL is now a supported database platform for Oracle Secure Backup, and numerous offerings within the Oracle Fusion Middleware product family, including Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management.

New certifications expand the range of Oracle products integrated with MySQL, which already included Oracle Golden Gate, MyOracle Support and the first Oracle VM Template for MySQL Enterprise Edition.

Moreover, Oracle previewed a number of additional certifications in progress.

More details to come soon on that front as well!

Tomas also came back on recent announcements including:

· The new MySQL Installer for Windows and Certification for Windows Server 2008 R2 Failover Clustering

If you’re either attending Oracle OpenWorld or in the bay area, we hope to see you at the MySQL Community Reception tomorrow Tuesday October 4th at 7.00 pm at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis - Foothill G.
