Siemens AG plans to license "a wireless technology called Flash-OFDM from Flarion Technologies Inc., of Bedminster, N.J., and to begin offering network infrastructure to service providers in Europe in the second quarter of next year," reports the WSJ. This is good news for Flash-OFDM since without the support of an NEP, network technologies are not very likely to make it to the operators domain. The basic principle is "no supplier, no goods," no matter how good the goods may be. So, it looks like WiFi and CDMA may face some new competition.
