A Podcasting Wall Street Journal !

The Wall Street Journal, as a 30 minute summary, every day!

It is not as in-depth as the articles but it gives a quick review for the professional on the run. The big shortcoming is that the podcast lingers longer on the soft side of the news, a la Dow Jones' magazine Smart Money.

For RSS feeds of other WSJ podcasts, see here. I'm afraid an online subscription is required.

The big news on the paper today had to do with a drop in personal income and consumer spending!

The Journal reports that "[C]onsumer spending in August fell by $47.2 billion, or 0.5%, marking the largest drop since Nov. 2001."

Economists are attributing the declines to cooling auto sales and high energy prices "siphoning potential sales away from other spending categories." Some are worried that this "could slow the economy if prices continue to rise."

Comments:

This isn't really to you specifically, but.... Sun has a few podcasts now (which is great). So when can I hook my iPod to my workstation? (well not mine specifically since it's still an Ultra 10) I don't mean iTunes for Solaris (ugh -- it's great on OS X but not so much on Windows), but just something to download podcasts from Sun....

I use iPod / iTunes to listen to podcasts from out side of Sun as time permits. Frankly, I've not tried either for any of the podcasts from Sun. I probably should. Unfortunately, I'm probably not the right person to answer the rest of your questions, but let me see if I understood them correctly. Are you looking for a program to use on Solaris 10 for listening to podcasts?
