Easily exchange files from Mac OS

This is a bit off-topic, but worth mentioning anyway, I think:

I often have to share files between computers and fiddling around with USB sticks or setting up ftp servers is quite unnerving. On Windows computers I use the HFS file server -a tiny (but slighty infected with adverts) executable that acts as a http server- for file access/exchange via browser. This little tool is not available on Mac OS, but there already is a built-in alternative:

An Apache server. Just open a terminal and start it up. It will automatically serve all files in the current directory via HTTP:

python -m SimpleHTTPServer 8888
