Linux or Solaris for DB12c?

Here are the claims from 2 parties.
Both parties claim "processor affinity" and I think they work basically the same.

First from Solaris, I remember this page was created around June,2013.

Oracle Solaris and Oracle Database

Oracle Database Runs Best on Oracle Solaris

I think the above page is not very specific. So, I googled. I think the PDF below is a good read.

Oracle San Francisco 2013

Oracle Solaris systems running Oracle Database are ideal for mission-critical database applications requiring high performance, best-in-class availability, and unmatched scalability.

Lastly, from Linux side. This white paper was published last month.

So, what about the hardware ?

Thanks for your comment.
I worked for Sun for some years but not really a hardware guy.
So, my knowledge is limited.

Anyway, I think there's SPARC vs. Intel aspect and
Exadata vs. SuperCluster like Engineered system aspect.

I think more customers will decide on hardware first, so
arguing about OS choice is a little moot in the real world.
Maybe this differs from country to country.

Internally, I'm in a position to advocate Windows and I'm not joking!
I think Windows shops decide on OS first.
