In the UK, we officially work 37.5 hour weeks.   In reality, however, the hours spent at the office are often much longer.   Therefore, for those looking for a social life, work often becomes a source for fun as well as work.
This summer, my partner and I joined the Sun Married Couples Club.   There isn't really a club, but if there were, I suspect it would have a lot of members world wide.   In fact, in my office alone, 3 other SMCC couples are represented.   I was hired by a VP who was married to another VP.   And even my current boss is married to a retired Sun manager.
So what does a life in the SMCC feel like?   Well, in our case, the highlights include:
Timesharing use of the home SunBlade 150
o   Sun related pillow talk
o   100% trust & honesty when discussing work issues
o   Sharing views of SMI business
o   Cool balance of company car .vs. cash
o   The occasional nicely synchronised business trips
o   24x7 mentoring & support
o   Better understanding of the demands of the job
o   Access to each others' online calendars
Sun's a fun place to work, but it gets even more interesting when you're married to the job.   Literally.
