Accenture - Planning for IFRS Adoption
By Tony Ouk on Aug 13, 2009
Accenture recently did a study on IFRS and the US transition from US GAAP to IFRS. Again, the key message Accenture offers is that IFRS will impact different organizations in different ways, so it is important for each organization to conduct a thorough study as to how IFRS will impact the organization and to find the best IFRS transition plan for that organization. This is best achieved with advice from an accounting compliance advisor like Accenture or Deloitte.
Accenture also notes that fortunately for Oracle users, Oracle solutions offer the flexibility to meet the IFRS transitional needs, whether it is through Oracle's ERP solutions like Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards Financial Management, or through Oracle Enterprise Performance Management solutions.
To read more about Accenture's findings, visit the Oracle IFRS website. There, in the "Brochures and Data Sheets" section, you can get a copy of Accenture's IFRS study.
